Erzaren

Erzaren is the third biggest city in the Bergia region. It is famous for the Lake Soll Dam, which generates nearly 30% of Sordland's electricity. Thanks to three rivers coming down the Bergia mountains, the lake always has a very high-water level creating double the kinetic energy needed for the dam.

However the city is also home to a dark past of forced Bludish relocation during the Soll era. Where the dam currently stand today is said to have been a Bludish settlement called Izzam. In order to solve the energy crisis Tarquin Soll forced the resisting populace out and built the dam. Certain rumours still circulate about a genocide that happened here which triggered the formation of the Bludish Freedom Front by the followers of the deceased Aschraf.

Currently things are a lot calmer than they were two decades ago. The people in Erzaren, though not rich, do live a normal life. The government institutions function and there are many who come here for the engineering jobs that the dam operations require.

Erzaren might not be as attractive as Deyr but it certainly serves a good purpose for Bergia and in extension to Sordland.
