Conriat is the third largest city in the Greater Holsord region. It is situated on the Eskel River, which is known for its scenic boat tours from and to the capital. The river creates a vibrant wilderness admired by thousands of weekend visitors.

Conriat is the only port city in the Holsord region, but due to a lack of investment, it can only dock two container ships at any given time. This makes Lachaven the primary destination for international shipping in Central Sordland. Compared to the small civilian port, the humongous Conriat Naval Base, that houses the Sordish Navy, leaves many visitors in nationalistic awe.

In 1789, the city was nearly destroyed in the Great Fire of Conriat because of a Valgslandian Navy attack in which the entire Sordish Fleet was sunk. Six battleships and more than forty support vessels not only decorate the skyline of the coastal city but also employ about fifty thousand residents.

Admiral Schar, who is the commanding officer, is closely related to the mysterious mayor Kris Schar, who also happens to be the one of the shareholders of Underhall Construction. Therefore, the real estate industry favours the area and heavily invests. As a result, many construction jobs employ the citizens.

The hills surrounding Conriat are full of luxury housing bought by the elites of the capital. The city is known for its pure-bred Sarod horses which are used for both national and international racing competitions. They are raised and trained in horse farms owned by privileged country clubs.
