Arvory

Arvory is the regional capital of Agnland. It is situated on mighty cliffs that are facing the sea. Right behind the city is a huge forest which spans hundreds of square kilometres. The bay of Arvory has many fishing companies and the regional trade port. It must be traversed through a steep road that is carved inside the cliffs. Its population is very diverse with a significant Agno-Sordish population coexisting with Rumburgians, Valgs and Sords.

In the 1930's the situation of the city was much worse but due to the efficient mayorship of Lileas Graf the city had a revival period. The living standards rose so many companies started to move in. Land trade with Agnolia increased which created much needed logistical jobs in the area. The construction industry boomed right after. The city still suffers from unemployment and a lack of higher education, but things are much better than before.

There is an old symbolic city hall in the city centre called “Vizeria Agnolia”, which is 150 years old. This reminds people that Arvory was once a part of Greater Agnolia. In the last two decades poverty-stricken extremists started to attack immigrants in a few districts. A huge part of the population condemned these racist acts. Sadly, illegal drug activity is also considered normal in the poorer districts. The new mayor Eric Niel tries to tackle these issues but blames the lack of resources to be able to solve them.
