Bergia
Bergia, a landlocked region of Sordland, is encircled by the regions of Nargis, Gelsland, and Greater Holsord, and the countries of Wehlen, Lespia, and Rumburg. The capital city, Deyr, is nestled in a river delta area in which many rivers pass and irrigate the farmlands. Bergia is home to a substantial Bludish population, the most significant minority in Sordland. Sometimes referred to by its old Bludish name 'Bludia,' Bergia covers most of the geographical expanse of Greater Bludia, with the exception of northern territories in Wehlen and Lespia. Despite its thriving economy, the region struggles with high unemployment rates. Agriculture, mining, and steel manufacturing form the bedrock of Bergia's economy, with the Bergia Steel Corporation standing out as a prominent business. The region also houses the Soll Dam, a critical power source for Sordland. For the followers of the Nurity faith, Bergia is a pilgrimage destination owing to the Archsanctuary of Descension located in Deyr. The region's geography is characterized by mountains on nearly all sides, including the Bergia mountains in the north, the Gumren and Taurus mountains along the western border with Wehlen, and the Maradun mountains towards the south bordering Lespia. The fertile river deltas nestled among these mountains are interspersed with cities and farmlands. Bergia also hosts a significant portion of the Maris forest, stretching from Sarna in the north to Gelsord.
