Agnland

Agnland is the fifth largest region of Sordland, bordering the region of Nargis, as well as the countries of Agnolia and Rumburg. Its capital is Arvory. Agnland is the fifth most populous of Sordland’s seven regions with just below 4 million residents.
The region is sometimes considered to be a part of the geographical region of Greater Agnolia, due to it being part of Agnolia decades ago. It is home to the largest number of Agno-Sordish people in Sordland, which is also the second biggest minority in the country.
Agnland is the poorest region of Sordland and has a stagnant economy. It remains among the regions with the highest unemployment rate. It contains a vast amount of hills and small coastal towns. Its economy relies heavily on trade with Agnolia and fishing. A large number of Agnolian companies used to operate in the region but most of them left the country in the last decades. A hotspot for tourism, Duru Island is also considered to be a part of Agnland, and connected to the administrative capital of Arvory.
Agnland borders Rumburg along the Eastern Sourne mountains to the north, Agnolia to the northeast, and Markian sea to the east. The northern parts of the region are filled with hills and mountains, with very little infrastructure, making it very difficult to traverse. The coast is marked by bays, fjords, and deep cliff lines.
