Gelsland
Gelsland, bordering the regions of Nargis, Bergia and Greater Holsord, proudly hosts its administrative capital, Gelsord along with the cities of Ribery and Antel. Gelsland's economy draws on a broad spectrum of industries. Many experimental factories and research and design centres find their home in the region, along with an array of small businesses. Known as Sordland's hub for technology and scientific exploration, Gelsord plays a leading role in shaping the regional identity. The past decade has seen a marked growth in production sectors, particularly those involved with mechanical engineering and the electronics industry. However, the output of these activities are often taken out of the city and to larger havens such as Lachaven or Holsord for business before the local benefit. From a geographical perspective, Gelsland presents a remarkable array of natural features. The northernmost parts of the Maris forest spread out from Gelsord to Sarna, forming an integral part of the regional ecosystem. The Markian Sea coast on the eastern side of Gelsland carves out a dramatic coastline of bays, cliff lines, and tiny islands. Among these, the renowned Antel Rock and the infamous Antel Rock Prison stand as prominent landmarks.
