The Basilisk of Baal is an ancient historical monument in Lachaven. Visited by thousands of tourists every day, archaeologists suggest that it is more than 2500 years old.

The language written on the Basilisk indicates a completely different grammatical structure compared to Merkopan languages. Twenty years ago, a famous archaeologist named Ulzin deciphered the text, which indicated that it was a monument to the Moon God, who protected the people during the cold of the night.

The basilisk is one of the most popular spots to visit in Lachaven, together with the Library of Saint Wruhec.
