Romus Toras
Romus Toras was born in 1905 in the Kingdom of Rizia, Valenqiris. He is the only child of the late king Valero "The Frail" Toras and Queen Mother Estela Toras, and holds the title of King of Rizia as well as the symbolic title of Duke of Valenqiris. Following the death of Queen Lyza in 1918, his father Valero ascended to the throne, a period marked by political uncertainty and rumors of unrest. Romus received his education in Porte Drazon, where he was largely isolated from commoner life. Shortly after the prince's coming of age, Rizia entered into a conflict with the newly independent Grand Duchy of Pales that eventually escalated into a nationwide crisis, culminating in Romus's capture by insurgents led by Lucas Sazon, Duke of Brenas. His subsequent rescue by Wehzek forces marked a critical juncture in Rizian politics. The aftermath of the revolt saw significant changes, including the leasing of Zille to Wehlen and the execution of Lucas Sazon, with Romus assuming governance of Valenqiris. Romus' tenure as Duke was marked by significant events including his strategic marriage to Lena Livingston, sister of Queen Beatrice of Rumburg. Following his wife's death in a tragic sailing accident in 1942, he became the sole guardian of their child, Princess Vina Toras. Romus' ascension to the throne followed the death of his father in 1949, marking the beginning of his reign as King of Rizia.
