Rizian Royal Air Force
The Rizian Royal Air Force (RRAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the Rizian Armed Forces. Established in the early 1910s, its initial role was predominantly reconnaissance and support for ground operations. However, its capacities and preparedness were seriously tested during the military campaign on Pales in the early 1920s, when Rizia's fleet faced significant resistance from superior Lespian-made aircraft. The RRAF suffered considerable losses both in terms of equipment and personnel during these confrontations.
For much of the late 1920s and early 1930s, the RAF operated with reduced numbers, outdated equipment, and a diminished strategic role. However, recognizing the evolving nature of warfare and the importance of air superiority, War and Security Councilor Taddeus Azaro persuaded the King to make an effort to revitalize the RRAF. While investments were made in new aircraft and training methodologies, the shadow of the Pales campaign continued to loom large.
Lessons from these defeats were integrated into the training curriculum, emphasizing adaptability, strategy, and coordination with other military branches.
