Qabiz

Located in the Antacean between mainland Rizia and Kyrute, the island of Caleqabiz is a relatively recent addition to the Kingdom of Rizia. Historically part of the Rezenid Empire, it was taken by the Valgish in the 1600s and renamed Kall Kabs. The island spent the next several centuries as a colony before gaining independence as part of the Kyrutian Nationalist movement of 1853.

Rather than remain under Kyrutian rule, the island’s governors elected to petition Rizia for protection. After a series of treaties were signed, Caleqebiz officially became part of Rizia in 1855, in a ceremony presided over by King Xavi Toras II.

Officially ruled by House Toras and the Rizian central government, Caleqabiz is today home to a number of vacation resorts for wealthy Rizians, a large marine refueling center, and Rizia’s largest prison.
