Manus Sazon
Manus Sazon is the leader of the Rizian People's Party as well as the heir to House Sazon. He was born on the island of Caleqebiz shortly after the exile of his mother, former Duchess of Iza Angelica Sazon, and the execution of his father Duke Lucas Sazon. He received a commoner's education before being sent to boarding school in Kyrute, where he later attended university. Upon his graduation from Konstantium University's political science program, he returned to Brenas and joined the Rizian People's Party, the opposition faction within the House of Delegates. In less than a year, he was elected party leader. Some RPP members criticized his meteoric rise, claiming he exploited his name to obtain a position he was insufficiently qualified for; others credited his success to the strength of his political convictions and the previous power vacuum within the RPP ranks. Since becoming opposition leader, he has spearheaded a number of proposals, only a handful of which have gained the approval of the House of Delegates. Among these are environmental conservation measures in the Brenas National Forest, improvements in national health care policy and the establishment of a dedicated fund to support Rizian contemporary artists.
