1min

Giralt Haute-Bellasorde, or more commonly known as Giralt of Ribery, was a pioneering Sordish viticulturist and winemaker of Lespian descent, who was the first to cultivate the famous Borin grape. He is known as β€˜the father of Sordish viticulture.’ Giralt of Ribery is credited with introducing important innovations to Sordish winemaking. He was born in Ribery. He began producing wine under his own label, Dandelion, in the 1910s. He was particularly known for the quality of his wines which used grapes from Borin and Erlory. Dandelion wines are now highly sought after and renowned for their floral tones and elegance, as well as their lushness and concentration.
