Watani Aschraf
Watani Aschraf was a Bludish carpenter who was killed by Sordish soldiers during his protest against the construction of the Soll Dam. His death and the subsequent chaos that escalated between the protesters and the Sordish soldiers came to be known as the Izzam Incident. He became a symbol of the Bludish resistance movement in Sordland. Not much is known about Aschraf other than his work as a carpenter in the village of Izzam near Erzaren. According to many sources, he was respected as the villageβs elder and many villagers seeked his advice. In 1933, when Sordish authorities came to the village to force the villagers out of their homes, he refused to leave his home. He took part in the protests against Soll Dam, which threatened to destroy Izzam by leaving it under water. He was shot and killed by a soldier on the tenth day of the protests. Following his death, his name became a symbol of Bludish rights. His death is mourned by the Bludish democrats and the Bludish separatists alike. The Bludish Freedom Front was initially called βThe Followers of Aschraf.β
