Situated on Valenqiris' coastline, Topes is in close proximity to the prominent Esqiris natural gas field. Historically a modest fishing village, the discovery and development of the Esqiris field transformed Topes into a bustling urban center equipped with state-of-the-art processing and shipping facilities.

Beyond its industrial significance, the city has attracted a myriad of professionals and specialists, making it a hub of technological innovation in the energy sector. Additionally, the local economy benefits from secondary sectors like service and hospitality, catering to the influx of workers and business travelers.
