The Territory of Zille
The Territory of Zille, located at the northernmost tip of Rizia by the Strait of Kreleck, underwent significant transformations beginning in the late 19th century. Initially a fishing hub, the region's focus shifted to tourism with the development of spas and resorts, drawing visitors from Lespia and inland Rizia. This period of prosperity was interrupted by the discovery of gold, leading to substantial industrial development for mining, overseen by "Rusty" Montoro. The resultant economic shift brought about significant changes in the region's landscape and society.
In the 20th century, Zille's political landscape was dramatically altered by the Zille Agreement of 1927. Following internal conflicts in Rizia, the territory was leased to Wehlen for 25 years, a move aimed at stabilizing Rizia through military support. This lease marked a significant change in governance and brought Zille to the forefront of regional politics.
During the Wehlen Civil War, Zille became a refuge for those affected by the conflict, transitioning from a contested resource-rich territory to a pivotal point in regional stability and humanitarian efforts.
