The Confederacy of Vendonesam

2min

The Confederacy of Vendonesam, commonly referred to as Vendonesam, is a federation of monarchist states located in the southeastern region of Xina, near the strategic Southern Line pass. Its capital, Kanthapur, serves as the center of political and cultural activities. A significant member of the Guild of Royal Allies for Commercial Exchange, Vendonesam has a distinct political structure, characterized by its opposition to democratic and Malenyevist ideologies. Founded in the late 18th century under the leadership of Grand Duke Tunga Vanthu, Vendonesam was formed from a union of feudal states. The confederation includes key states such as the Sultanate of Ragkara, the Holy Isles of Penguvi, and the Duchy of Tamaren. The confederation’s governance is unique; it features a council of electors comprised of representatives from each member state who elect the Supreme Regent, the confederation's leader, for a set term of six years. During the industrial era, Vendonesam focused on reinforcing its feudal structure, utilizing industrial growth to support the existing social order. It's rapid acceleration was heavily supported by the Kingdom of Rumburg. The confederation's military underwent modernization, primarily for maintaining internal stability but also ensuring outside powers such as the Empire of Valgos are kept at bay. Vendonesam's foreign policy in the early 20th century was defined by its resistance to democratic and Malenyevist movements, affecting its regional relations. Internationally, Vendonesam’s stance has often led to tensions, particularly within the Century of Revolutions in which it played a counter-revolutionary role in South Xina. By the mid-20th century, under influential leaders such as Prince Consort Kabauen Sang Tam, Vendonesam continued to uphold its monarchist and feudal system. Key cities like Kanthapur, Suryanagara, Ragkara, and Penguvi remain central to its governance and cultural identity. Vendonesam’s political and social policies have consistently reflected a commitment to traditional power structures, impacting its role in international affairs and alignments. Despite global shifts, Vendonesam's adherence to its foundational political and social systems endures.
