The Confederacy of Vendonesam
The Confederacy of Vendonesam, commonly referred to as Vendonesam, is a federation of monarchist states situated in the southeastern region of Xina, near the strategic Southern Line pass. Its capital, Kanthapur, serves as the center of political and cultural activities. As a prominent member of the Guild of Royal Allies for Commercial Exchange, Vendonesam is distinguished by its opposition to democratic and Malenyevist ideologies.
Vendonesam was established in the late 18th century under the leadership of Grand Duke Tunga Vanthu, uniting a collection of feudal states into a single confederation. Key states within Vendonesam include the Sultanate of Ragkara, the Holy Isles of Penguvi, and the Duchy of Tamaren. Its governance is unique, with a council of electors representing each member state. This council elects the Supreme Regent, the federation's leader, for a six-year term, ensuring a blend of tradition and political coordination among the monarchist states.
During the industrial era, Vendonesam focused on reinforcing its feudal structure by channeling industrial growth to support the existing social order. Its rapid modernization was significantly supported by the Kingdom of Rumburg, which bolstered Vendonesam's military and industrial capacity. These advancements were aimed at maintaining internal stability and deterring external powers such as the Empire of Valgos from influencing the region.
In the early 20th century, Vendonesamโs foreign policy revolved around resisting democratic and Malenyevist movements, shaping its regional relations. It played a prominent counter-revolutionary role during the Century of Revolutions in South Xina, positioning itself as a staunch defender of monarchist and traditionalist systems.
By the mid-20th century, under leaders such as Prince Consort Kabauen Sang Tam, Vendonesam continued to uphold its feudal and monarchist structures. Key cities like Kanthapur, Suryanagara, Ragkara, and Penguvi remain vital to its governance and cultural identity. Despite global changes, Vendonesamโs adherence to its traditional power structures has ensured the persistence of its foundational political and social systems.
