Tear Period

1min

The Tear Period, defined by the Holy Wars between Dastnurists and Wruhecists, was a tumultuous era in Nurity's history. The conflict was rooted in the deepening theological schism and was exacerbated by political ambitions. The Kingdom of Jathlas, a bastion of Dastnurity, aimed to extend its influence, aligning with Saint Dast's vision of disseminating the 11 pillars. Conversely, the Wruhecist Empire of Lachaven, alongside allied nations, formed a defensive pact to resist Jathlas' expansionist agenda. Key figures emerged during this period, shaping the course of the conflict. Queen Ysoria of Jathlas, a fervent Dastnurist, led her nation in aggressive campaigns, while General Varnok of Lachaven, a brilliant strategist, orchestrated several successful defenses against Jathlas' incursions. The prolonged and brutal nature of the Holy Wars inflicted widespread suffering, leading to a growing clamor for peace among the war-weary populations. Amidst this backdrop, Ardos, a charismatic and visionary leader, emerged as a unifying figure. He embarked on a diplomatic mission across the continent, advocating for a resolution to the sectarian conflict. His efforts culminated in the Council of Reconciliation, where leaders from both sides convened. The council led to the formulation of the United Principles, a harmonious blend of Dastnurist and Wruhecist tenets. This agreement marked the end of the Tear Period and ushered in the Settlement Period, characterized by reconstruction, unity, and a renewed commitment to peace. The Six United Principles became a cornerstone of Nurity, symbolizing a new era of harmony and collaboration among its followers.
