General Taddeus Azaro is the patriarch of the royal House of Azaro. He and his older brother Ferran grew up in Cardesse-Montaklar as heirs to their royal house; like all male Azaros, both received military training from a young age. While Ferran was called to serve as Duke in 1915, Taddeus continued to rise through the ranks, earning the title of General in 1920. Shortly afterwards, he was assigned to King Valero Torasโ€™ royal council, where he spearheaded the controversial military campaign to reconquer the Palesian peninsula (1923-1926). The campaign famously failed, sparking the Uprising of 1926 and the consequent murder of Ferran Azaro and his family by revolutionaries. Determined to avenge his brotherโ€™s death, General Azaro switched his priority from military to national security, ordering mass arrests and executions in the wake of the uprising. In the following years, he shifted his focus towards strengthening Rizia's internal security apparatus and intelligence network, ensuring that such a rebellion would never again threaten the kingdom's stability. In late 1949, he took an indefinite leave of absence from the council after suffering a stroke. He was replaced on an interim basis by his daughter Lucita.
