Located in the fertile hills of inland Valenqiris, Qalus has a history extending beyond its renowned Cantuavo family vineyards. Historically, it served as a key point on regional trade routes, fostering a strong merchant class and playing occasional roles in local military strategies.

Alongside its wine industry, remnants of ancient marketplaces and defensive structures still stand, offering a glimpse into the town's multifaceted past.
