The Organisation for Merkopan Economic Development (OMEC) is an inter-governmental economic organization founded in 1921 to stimulate economic progress and increase trade in Merkopa. It is a forum of countries describing themselves as committed to prosperity, providing a platform to compare policy experiences, seeking answers to problems, identify good practices and coordinate international policies of its members. OMEC uses its wealth of information on a broad range of topics to help governments foster prosperity and fight poverty through economic growth and financial stability. The structure is based on continued monitoring of events in member countries as well as outside the member area and includes regular projections of short and medium-term economic developments.
