Nurity
Nurity is a major monotheistic religion teaching the existence of the Divine God as the sole creator and venerating Saint Dast as the divine messenger. It is predominantly practiced in Merkopa and ranks as one of the largest religions worldwide. Nurity emphasizes ethical living, divine omnipresence, and humanity's ultimate goal of constructing Golcondaโa sacred pillar symbolizing spiritual alignment and universal salvation.
Nurists believe the Divine God revealed divine intent to humanity through Saint Dast on Descension Day. Following this revelation, Saint Dast, along with his thirty disciples, embarked on a lifelong mission to spread the divine message, laying the foundations of Nurity.
Nurity has two main branches: Dastnurity and Wruhecism. Dastnurists strictly follow the literal teachings of Saint Dast, while Wruhecists embrace a more interpretative approach to doctrine, recognizing Saint Wruhec as the divinely appointed successor to Saint Dast. Within Wruhecism is Golcondism, which places significant emphasis on collective responsibility in building Golconda.
The Reform Period saw the rise of Reformed Nurity, advocating for individual spiritual practices over institutional authority, particularly in regions influenced historically by the Valgos Empire.
Zaranurity, originating in medieval Lasomby, is a syncretic faith blending Nurityโs monotheistic principles with Zaranismโs dualistic worldview, interpreting life as a cosmic struggle between the Divine God and the Zaranist Goddess.
Other minor sects exist, each varying in interpretation but unified by foundational beliefs in the Divine God and the teachings of Saint Dast.
