KA-74
The KA-74, officially known as the Kalsington Automatica is a gas operated assault rifle developed in the Kingdom of Rumburg by Michael Kalsington. It is considered to be the first automatic rifle of the world. 74 refers to the year its initial design was made. Design work on the KA-74 began in 1874. In 1880, the KA-74βs first version was presented for official military trials, and in 1888, the first stock version was introduced into active service with several selected units of the Rumburgian Armed Forces. Although the rifle was not officially adopted by the Rumburgian Army, it was tested extensively by the army during the lead-up to Annexation of Dome. The early KA-74 went through many iterations over the decades and many of its variants were tested without being adopted by any military. Despite going through so many changes, its initial name was not changed and survived to this day. The latest model of the KA-74 was developed in 1940, which remains as the signature weapon of the Rumburgian Armed Forces to this day. In recent years, it became the most popular and widely used rifle in Eastern and Northern Merkopa because of its reliability under harsh conditions and low production costs compared to other western weapons.
