Edith Agnoc
Edith Agnoc is a Sordish economist and banker who serves as the Chairwoman of the Central Bank of Sordland. She is the first woman to hold that position. She also became the first woman to serve as a president of a bank in the world.
Agnoc is known in Sordland as the adopted daughter of the first president of the republic, Artor S. Wisci. According to official sources, Wisci met her during his visit to Narbel. After learning her story, her miserable living conditions and her desire to study at a university, Wisci decided to adopt her and financed her education. She studied in Holsord State University and later finished her masters in Lachaven Business School.
After General Luderinβs military coup and Wisciβs arrest in 1927, Agnoc fled to Lespia, where she lived until 1928. She moved to Arcasia after the death of her adoptive father Wisci, and started working at one of the largest investment firms, Crain Capital in Ventrie City. She became renowned for her economic expertise in Arcasia and later quit her job to work at the renowned Global Bank.
In 1951, she was invited by Ewald Alphonso to return to Sordland to help with the economic crisis. On her return, she was appointed to be the chairwoman of the Central Bank of Sordland. She was selected as the only female economist for the cover of 'The 20 Greatest Economists in History' published by the Eras Magazine.
