Descension Day

1min

Descension Day marks the day when god sent his divine will down to Saint Dast on the 16th of July, in 684. The day is regarded as the beginning of the Nurity religion, that spread nearly all around the world.

Nowadays Descension Day is celebrated across the globe with many pilgrims visiting the initial site where the thirty disciples and Saint Dast have began their duties as servants of the lord.

Believers all around the world fast for an entire month before Descension Day. After their fasting ends they begin the long journey towards the Archsanctuary in Deyr where the tomb of Saint Dast and the holy scribbling lies. Inside the sanctuary they are blessed by the servants of god for their selfless deeds.

For many pious Nurists this is the most important religious ritual a believer has to commit themselves to.
